Business and IT solutions firm Garnet River announced Kathaleen Hanlon has been named lead for the newly formed HR Consulting practice. She is responsible for business development, team building, and collaborating with clients on talent acquisition and retention, employee engagement and performance, and organization design. The HR practice will work in coordination with Garnet River’s nine other practices in the solutions division:

Hanlon is a senior human resource professional with more than 30 years of experience in employee relations, benefits administration, policies and procedures, employee handbooks and performance management. For the past 10 years she has worked as an independent consultant for small and large businesses, nonprofits and municipalities. Prior to that she worked as human resources manager for Latham Pool Products. She also served as human resources manager for Prime Companies, X-Ray Optical, Engine Systems Company and Garden Way.
Hanlon earned her bachelor’s degree from Siena College in Loudonville, N.Y. She holds a paralegal certification from Institute for Employee Benefits Training and Life, Accident and Health Insurance licenses for New York and Vermont.
Hanlon is a resident of Waterford, N.Y.
