Business and information technology services and software company Garnet River announces the appointment of Scott L. Card to President. Card is based in Garnet River’s headquarters office at 60 Railroad Place in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

“I have known and worked with Scott Card for 20 years. We were Scott’s first customer when he started his career in commercial banking in 2004. He remained our banker until 2019, when he left Bank of America to start his own consulting company. He has collaborated with us as a consultant, then as our CFO, and his contributions have been significant,” said Garnet River CEO Steve Richards. “Scott is one of the few ‘complete athletes’ I have seen in my career. He is a leader and a very effective manager, with strong skills in finance, operations, and client services. At 46 years old, he is 20 years younger than me. This appointment bodes well for Garnet River’s near- and long-term future. We are very fortunate.”

Card is a 1999 graduate of Siena College, where he majored in accounting and finance. He earned his master’s in business administration at The Sage Colleges – Sage Graduate School in 2005. Card was a commercial banker at Fleet Bank, then Bank of America, from 2004 to 2019. He formed SC Consulting in 2020 and advised mid-sized privately held companies on financial and operational matters.
