A large state agency with multiple locations across the state
The Challenge
To implement an enterprise level learning management system to replace the agency’s nineteen (19) disparate stand-alone solutions that were supporting the management of staff learning/training requirements & certifications.
The Solution
Under the leadership of Garnet River project management, the agency deployed a centralized browser-based solution that integrated with its existing Human Resource Information System and its Single Sign-On (SSO) directory services authentication model. As part of the effort, a complete inventory of statewide training records was harvested, cleansed, and migrated into the application database tables. Training curriculums associated for both instructor-led courses and self-paced learning modules were further standardized and released into a single catalog that allowed for self-registration with a requisite management approval work-flow process built-in.
The Impact
A consistent and standardized interface for training administration, employee participation/certification tracking, and scheduling with greater transparency via on-demand reporting into employee training history and certifications to better ensure various compliance requirements.
