Garnet River announced Michael Conlin has been named director, marketing communications. He is responsible for brand management, marketing strategy and development, as well as serving as an advisor to Garnet River clients. He is based in Garnet River’s headquarters office at 60 Railroad Place in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
“Over the course of his career, Michael has exhibited great leadership and has an impressive track record of helping clients grow their brands and get results,” said Steve Richards, CEO, Garnet River. “His diverse skillset and experience across a range of industries makes him a great addition to our team at a time when we’re poised for tremendous growth in our Staffing, Robotic Process Automation, and Managed Outsource practices.”
Prior to joining Garnet River, Conlin was senior communications consultant for KeyBank, where he led market communications for the Capital Region NY, Indiana, Michigan, Northwest Ohio and Pennsylvania markets, as well as managed communications for the Key@Work, Key4Women and Consumer Healthcare programs. He is founder and partner of Simpson Square Media Group, was brand and marketing manager for Kaleel Jamison Consulting Group and served as assistant editor at The New England Quarterly, an award-winning historical journal. He has more than 20 years of experience in branding, marketing and communications.
Conlin earned his bachelor’s degree in English with minors in behavioral science and creative writing from Northeastern University (Boston, Mass.).
Conlin lives in Greenwich, N.Y. An active member of the community, he is board of education president for Greenwich Central School District and is a board member of Greenwich Athletic Association. He has donated time and services to a number of regional nonprofits, including The Prevention Council, Comfort Food Community, Greenwich Little League and Greenwich Youth Football.
